Discipline: Maintenance Electrician
Location: Ratcliffe-on-Soar, Nottingham
Rate of Pay: £14.18 - £28.36/hr PAYE
Hours: 40hrs/week Mon - Fri + overtime
Start date: Immediate
Duration: Temp to Perm

The Role:
Our client has a requirement for additional Maintenance Electricians on a power generation site in Ratcliffe-on-Soar, Nottinghamshire. The role will involve supporting operations on site by ensuring the safe examination, testing, installation and maintenance of electrical plant and equipment on site. Duties will include.

  • Carrying out fault finding procedures and repairs on PLC controlled and automation systems, both electrical and pneumatic
  • Observation of plant operations to identify and address faults
  • Installation of electrical apparatus
  • Examination, testing and maintenance of electrical and pneumatic plant and machinery
  • P.A.T. testing of portable appliances
  • Carrying out planned maintenance as per schedules
  • Complete all duties in accordance with 'permit to work' systems, LMI instructions and 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • Operating Fork Lift Truck, MEWP and station vehicles in accordance with training and safety requirements
  • Ensuring all H&S measures are in place and completed
  • Undertake training as and when required to allow for full flexibility
  • Be available for call outs as part of a call out rota.

  • Served Apprenticeship
  • Electrical qualification
  • Fault finding skills on automatic electrical and pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of plant machinery
  • PAT testing training an advantage
  • PLC knowledge an advantage
  • Flexible approach and adaptable to changing conditions
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently and on own initiative
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Positive attitude to safety
  • Tolerant of diverse working situations and conditions
